A Day In The Life Of Me

And so on....

Oh....break is slowly creeping by. I'm very ready to get away and head to the gravel roads of Kansas. Not that I mind being bored, but it does get.....boring. Let's see. What have I really done in the past week? Watched "The Bourne Identity" with Jenny, babysat 10 kids under the age of 10 (it was crazy- take note of that Jenny!), read lots of novels, hung out with Washington girls, and stayed the night with Kate. Ok, so my list got a little longer than I thought it would.

I woke up this morning to the smell of chocolate. I rolled over, and Kate was laying next to me eating one of the no-bake cookies we made at 1:30 this morning. She went and got me one too. :D

Christmas is almost over

Well, after 3 days of Christmases, it's almost over, and I'm recovering. One more tonight, and no more till next year.

Some of this years Christmas highlights:
~Getting pretty much all of my nursing supplies. (which is really exciting, even
if Elise has to explain what most of them are. :D ) Although I must admit
a wail was heard from the bathroom on Christmas Eve: "I hate polos! I
hate them!" And my lab coat that I was all excited about getting to wear
looks more like a white suit coat than a lab coat. My mom laughed and
commented that it will be good for me to have to wear this stuff.

~Sharing most embarrassing moments at Pfaffmann Christmas. I haven't
laughed so hard in a long time!

~Eating so much food that it was impossible to move.

~My new "nursing watch" that has military time. The watch itself isn't much to
look at, but military time is cool.

~The 2nd round of Apples to Apples at Schick Christmas.

~Being really, really, really squished in Lindsay's car.

~Having a bruise on my thigh from Ryan's weight pushing Lindsay's hip into it.

~Traever's "heating pad," The Office, and the video of the Jolly Octect singing
on tv.

So, that were some of the good parts. The bad parts included feeling so sick from eating to much and having diet cherry coke dumped all over me. :)

Anyway, hope you all had great Christmases!

Today is...?

I have no idea what day it is today. Each day just flows into the other, and I lose track really fast.

Break continues, and I'm not really sure what I do, but my days go by. So far, I've worked myself through 5 of the 8 books in the "Love Comes Softly" series. I've done that, as well as run my siblings all over the earth. This year I'm just not in the cookie making mood, so I haven't done any of that. I got all my presents wrapped, and now they are in the process of getting properly shaken in order for the recipients to figure out what's inside.

I have 4 family Christmases all in a row. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Wow.....

I guess there won't be a white Christmas this year....It's been raining all day. It looks dreary.

Break

I'm loving it. This morning I blissfully slept until I was awaked at the insane early hour of 10:30. Then I read my book in bed till 11:30, and then I got up. Seriously, this is the life.

Last night we had a Christmas party for a bunch of girls from Washington, like those of us who used to be in Sunday school together. It was great fun. We gaped over Katie's wedding dress and engagement pictures, ate cupcakes, played "what if?" (what if I rode to church on a Harley?) and played MASH, just for the sheer immaturity of it. I wanted Jenny's really bad. But I didn't get it. Oh well. I get to live in the Sahara desert. At least it's warm there.

I got all my Christmas shopping done in one day. It was amazing! Everything I needed, I found, and it was all great, and now I'm kinda sad that I don't have to make any of those day-before-Christmas shopping trips.

Last night I discovered that I like run-on sentences.

I saw the sunrise this morning

I am such a dedicated cousin. I got up at 5:45 this morning and drove to my grandma’s to watch Traever and his Jolly Octet friends singing on channel 25. We laughed.....they were cute. Then Linds, Wendi and I went to McDonalds. Then I came home and went back to bed. I love being on break!! Traever, you better realize how special you are for me to get up that early just to watch you sing. Oh, and the bell sweater was nice.  :D

*huge sigh of relief*

It's over. I'm done. I walked out of classroom 230b, and I was no longer a student at Illinois Central College. It's a really weird, but at the same time, amazing feeling. I walked around for a while. I walked past the bio lab, where I spent lots of agonizing hours; past the chem lab, where I had the 2nd most fun lab ever; past the library, where I pretty much lived my first semester; past the micro lab and classroom, where I had the most fun and paid the least attention; passed the cafe that makes the most amazing chai tea; passed the cafeteria that has really good French fries; and so on.

Ahhhhh.........It's such an amazing feeling!!

Now I'm going to spend a whole month celebrating! :D

Instead of buying a car...

I think I’ll buy a snowmobile. Think about it...when you have lots of snow, you don’t have to stay home. Of course, in the summer it would be a problem. Hmm. I guess I can buy a four-wheeler too. Yeah, that’s what I’ll do.

So I came up with this hair brained idea cause I just spent the past 2 ½ hours flying top speed through snowy fields. It was way too much fun.

A really odd post- I'm procrastinating

It snowed like 12 inches last night, and today everything is closed and nobody is going anywhere. And it’s still snowing. True story.

I didn’t have to clean today which I was superly excited about. So I got up and made waffles and now I’m procrastinating with writing my English paper.

My sister and I are going to try to convince my mom to let me cut her hair. Hmm....I’m not thinking it’ll fly, but we’ll try it.

It was dark in my room this morning cause the snow drifted to cover my windows.

I go through these weird spurts (No comments on that statement please). For weeks I went to bed early. Like really early-think 9pm. But this week I came back around and I don’t think I’ve gone to bed before 1am any night this week.

I’m really tired of school.

Only 11 more days!!!
