A Day In The Life Of Me

An Wonderful Weekend

Yep, my weekend was pretty great. The greatness started Thursday night when I went walking/running in Morton after class. Friday was my day to sleep in, and I did just that. Then I went to work (ok, so that part of the weekend wasn't so great) and afterward headed over to Eureka high school for Relay for Life. Thanks to all who donated money! After walking/running about 6 miles, and hanging around till about 3 am, I left for home and my bed. Somehow sleeping on the ground with a bunch of people around didn't sound to appealing.

Shelli (once again) woke me up on Saturday morning, so I got up, and went shopping to get my dad a Father's Day/Birthday gift. And yes, I know Father's Day was last Sunday, but my dad wasn't here then, so I didn't bother to get a gift. Katelyn went with me to be my fashion advisor, which she is positive I need. I think I do just fine on my own. But she did help me find a great tie (that my dad really liked), so I guess I can't complain. Last night I stayed home with my family and we went on a long walk. And I did a back flip for the first time in at least 3 years (and I must confess that I hurt today).

Tonight was Schick family night at Phil and Jessica's. It was entertaining. Larry and Jill are visiting, and U. Bill and A. Joan are back from Mexico, so everyone was there. Swimming, volleyball, baseball, and chocolate were some highlights. Andrea and I pretty much stink at volleyball. We had two rules: 1. Safety first. This means that if it looks like someone might go for the ball, don't risk getting hurt by diving for it even if the other person doesn't. 2. The two step rule. If, in order to hit the ball, you have to take more than two steps, don't bother; let someone else get it. So after much teasing and having "feeble" serves and hits (as Jamie would tell us), we gave up. Humor was higher priority than the actual playing of the game. But I think most the humor was aimed at Andrea and I. Oh well.

And that was my weekend, and now I'm going to go bed. Good night!

Wow, you must have had some good company at Relay for Life if you stayed out there until 3:00am!

I think somebody is fishing for a compliment.

And what's this about the "getting made fun of team?" Andrea and I were on different teams, so both got made fun of.
