An interesting day
As fun as my first full day in Mexico was, it wasn't exactly what I had pictured. First of all, I woke up laughing because the gas man came down the street and his music was SO funny. I guess the different gas companies each have a song and it plays constantly. So after that, I thought about getting up. I hurried out of bed quickly when Zion (thier dog) bounded into the room to give me a kiss, which according to Ben is a sign of affection, but I'd rather do without. This morning I actually woke up to him licking my face. Gross! Anyway, I got up, and went down stairs to eat breakfast. It is very interesting when you pick a box of cereal and don't know what kind it cause its all written in Spanish. I ended up eating Lucky Charms because I could recognize the guy on the front. Then we went out to the campus and for the rest of the morning, I proceeded to clean out horse stalls with Emily. Then was lunch, and then Katie and I relaxed and read a book for a couple of hours.
Church was last night, all in Spanish. I think I caught about 4 words out of the whole thing: Fire, tongue, yes, and thank you. I got to meet some of the little kids, not that I could say anything to them that they would understand, and vice versa. After church, we went to the plaza, and I got this pina' colada drink that consisted of pineapple, lemon, and lime juice, as well as cocconut milk. It was SO good, maybe one of the best things I've had in a long time. When we got home, A. Joan dug out some old home videos and we watched those for a while. There was one of me and Tyler "making a movie" about his missing bull frog. The best thing of the whole movie is when A. Joan asks us our names and I say about Tyler: "His real name is Leroy, but everyone calls him Encylopedia." Hehe...I have no idea where I came up with that. Then we watched footage of a bunch of guys riding bikes off a ramp into a lake. It looks like a blast. I wanna try it sometime.
It took me 3 showers before I finally figured out the water faucet. In Mexico, they are switched. The hot water is on the left, and the cold is on the right. Also, the Spanish word for hot starts with a C, so the hot water faucet is marked with a C. It was a cold 3 showers.

Eww...that's gross. I think I'll leave the door closed when we go there. Zion does sound like a very friendly dog though. Have you gotten to ride Buddy yet??
I think you got that from the Encyclopedia Brown mysteries you used to read when you were young. Remember? His real name was Leroy but everyone called him Encyclopedia. Once again your love of reading comes out. Remember, "May I have a drink?" she asked her mother!!
